Mahasivaratri at Anaikatti

The Mahasivaratri Puja was observed on 13th February 2018 in our Balalayam set up. The day started with the nitya puja at 5 a.m. It was followed by panchaksari japa till 2:00 p.m. Many devotees and the volunteers of the Gurukulam participated in the akhanda mantra japa which was led by Swami Atmatriptananda. All the Swamis, Swaminis and others at AVG, Anaikatti took turns and chanted the mantra with devotion and enthusiasm accompanied by many musical instruments.

Ekadasa Rudra Abhisheka

The chanting of Sri Rudram started at 4 pm. During each of the 11 chants, 11 different dravya abhiseka was performed to Lord Medha Daksinamurthy and Lord Narmadesvara.

Maha Aarati

Shodasa upachara puja was elaborately done. The evening puja concluded at 8 PM with Maha Arati.

Ratri Puja

During the night, three kala pujas were performed for Lord Narmadesvara. Led by Swami Atmatriptananda, Bhajans were sung for the whole night.
