A one-week retreat on the Vedanta treatise (Prakarana Grantha ) – “Dhanyaasthtakam” under the title “Vedic Vision of Fulfilment in Human Life” held from 13th January to 20th January 2018. The word “Dhanya” has the meaning “fulfilled”.  The fulfillment is possible only in knowing that “I am already fulfilled”. This text should be treated like Vedanta, the means of Knowledge as the content of the text is same as the Vedanta. This text written by Adi Shankaracharya in eight verses was beautifully elucidated in the form of a retreat by Swami Shankarananda ji, a disciple of Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati and the Acharya of the Gurukulam.  With a brief introduction to the vision of the Vedanta in the first four classes, the text was dealt verse by verse elaborately in fifteen classes. In addition to the three classes a day, there were regular meditation classes in the morning and question-answer session in the evening satsang.

As part of the camp, chanting class was conducted by Br. Kumara Chaitanya and he taught Ganesha Pancharatnam for the campers. The campers offered their service in dining hall and other areas of the gurukulam during their stay.
